COVID-19 SAFETY MEASURES AND SERVICE ADAPTATIONS
COVID-19 HEALTH & SAFETY ADAPTATIONS
In Stride Health Clinic is committed to the safety of all clients and staff, their families and the broader community.
Healthcare is an essential service and In Stride Health Clinic is committed to providing high quality and safe allied health services to ensure our clients receive the services they need during the COVID-19 pandemic whilst complying with any Government advice and restrictions. We have many precautions in place in addition to our usual infection control requirements (COVIDSafe plan and policies) to ensure the safety of the community and to minimise the spread of COVID-19.
We are currently operating solely from Shop 2/100 Union Road, Ascot Vale (our usual clinical pilates studio) where we have built two treatment rooms and have space for individual clinical pilates to provide allied health services in line with Government advice and restrictions. Our receptionist is available at this site.
Please note that the Ascot Vale Leisure Centre is closed and subsequently we are not operating there.
Please contact us for the latest information on your appointment. At the time of publication, during Stage 4 restrictions, we are currently advised you require a GP referral to see your allied health practitioner. Those with Medicare EPC plans, DVA treatment cycles etc or who have current treatment under GP referral do not require a new referral.
In Stride Health Clinic offers telehealth consultations for those wishing to have a video call based consultation with their physiotherapists, podiatrist or dietitian from the comfort of their home.
Please contact us for more information including on cover of telehealth consultations by third parties (e.g. TAC, DVA, NDIS, Medicare) and private health insurance.
In Stride Health Clinic offers online clinical pilates classes for those who prefer to do pilates from home.
We continue to provide face to face consultations for physiotherapy, podiatry, myotherapy, remedial massage and dietetics. Our pilates studio is still operating for clinical pilates. Our group size limit is adapted to comply with Government restrictions and regulations at the time – clients who usually attend bigger groups may be required to attend smaller or individual groups. We are offering special pricing to enable our regular clients to continue to attend.
Other services such as hydrotherapy is available when Government restrictions allow use of the pool
At all times, In Stride Health Clinic services comply with the advice of the Government, DHHS and our professional bodies.
We understand that clients may need to cancel at short notice due to COVID-19. Whilst we appreciate as much notice as possible, cancellation fees will be waived for COVID-19 related needs.
If you are isolated at home and require any of a stock items, we will arrange to drop these at your doorstep if you live locally.
In Stride Health Clinic complies with all infection control and cleaning requirements outlined by our professional bodies and National Standards. We have a COVIDSafe plan and required policies in place.
In addition to this, we have implemented additional safety precautions including:
Additional and regular cleaning including wiping down of surfaces such as door handles
Our pilates equipment is wiped down with hospital grade wipes between clients
Our staff have completed additional infection control training relating to COVID-19
Hand sanitiser is available on entry and exit to our treatment areas. We ask that all people entering use it on entry and exit
We have plentiful supplies of PPE (e.g. masks) and monitor Government advice on their use. Whilst masks are required to be worn by all people in Melbourne, we require all clients and visitors to wear a mask.
All clients attending our clinic and clients who have not recently attended our studio are called the day before to complete a COVID-19 screening which must be signed off prior to treatment. If you are unwell, you must stay at home. We are unable to see clients who are unwell and appointments must be scheduled until medical clearance/isolation periods are served.
All clients receive a reminder text message stipulating they must reschedule if unwell
No staff member will work if they are unwell and will not return to work until they have had a COVID-19 test if displaying such symptoms and received a negative result or clearance to return.
Additional breaks have been factored into our day for extra cleaning on top of our regular cleaning schedule.
We have restricted numbers for social distancing purposes
We are temperature checking clients on arrival to our clinic
We have a register for visitors (e.g. carers, maintenance staff, professional cleaners) that is a confidential log maintained for contact tracing if required.
